A practical look at PlexusDx’s compounded GLP-1 weight-management plans for US adults: the published price, what it covers, and what happens when a plan renews or ends.
Know the commitment: multi-month plans are prepaid. The advertised $69 monthly equivalent for Microdose GLP-1 (compounded) means $828 paid for 12 months. It is not a $69 month-to-month subscription. Published plan details1
What PlexusDx Offers
The weight-management range lists compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide in injection and oral forms, plus a separate Microdose GLP-1 protocol using compounded medication. These are prescription services; a clinician decides whether to prescribe. PlexusDx also sells testing and other wellness products, which are outside this price comparison. Provider FAQ2
Compounded is an important distinction. These preparations are not FDA-approved branded medicines. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing and says they should be used only when a patient’s medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug. Discuss the proposed formulation with the prescriber. FDA guidance3

What Is Included—And What May Cost Extra?
- Included according to the terms: clinician review, required consultations, oversight, prescribed compounded medication, dispensing, applicable injection supplies, shipping and support; no separate membership fee.
- Outside the base price: external labs, specialist/in-person care, some replacements or early fills, and applicable taxes. Service terms9
- Optional add-ons: the offer page lists anti-nausea medication at $45 every three months, subject to clinician approval, and an optional genetic test at $99 after the first treatment month. Neither is required to buy the base plan. Confirm the final checkout selection. Offer and add-on details1
Clinical care is provided independently by Lone Star Virtual Health, PLLC. Intake may involve written questions, a phone or video consultation, or further assessment requested by the clinician. Buying a plan does not guarantee a prescription. Telehealth consent10
Renewal, Cancellation And Refunds
- Automatic renewal: same term repeats unless cancelled. A higher rate requires affirmative agreement; a discontinued legacy plan may end with 30 days’ notice.
- Eligibility and payment: US adults 18+, subject to state availability and clinical approval. Medicaid-enrolled patients are excluded, including self-pay. Insurance is not billed. Current terms, updated October 19, 20269
- Stop the next renewal: use Manage subscription in the patient portal before the renewal charge. Support requests should arrive at least three business days beforehand. Ordinary cancellation does not produce a proportional refund of a prepaid term.
- Refund exceptions matter: no approval means no charge; after approval, a full refund can be requested before the prescription is transmitted to the pharmacy. After transmission, change-of-mind refunds are generally unavailable. Clinician-directed discontinuation or inability to fulfill care can qualify for a refund of unused, not-yet-dispensed treatment. If medication has not shipped within ten business days of transmission, a full-refund request is available unless the patient chooses to wait. Refund & cancellation policy11
Check These Points Before Enrolling
- Ask which pharmacy will dispense your prescription and verify its license for your state. We did not establish a specific dispensing pharmacy from the public documents reviewed.
- Confirm your state’s availability, the proposed formulation, follow-up arrangements and any individually required testing with the clinical service.
- Save your total, renewal date and terms. Marketing places charging at pharmacy transmission; the terms allow earlier capture after approval. Clarify this before authorizing payment. Billing terms9
US audience: Confirm service availability for your state. There is no guarantee of a prescription or a treatment result.
