Know the commitment: Plan the lab visit before ordering. Personalabs says lab orders are valid for six months. Reinstatement of an expired order is discretionary and can involve an administrative fee or updated pricing.
What Personalabs offers
Personalabs allows customers to order laboratory tests online with a physician order included, then visit a local collection site. The current website directs customers to Labcorp locations. What is included—and what may cost extra?
The website describes an included physician order, local specimen collection and electronic results. It offers test categories and location selection. Confirm the exact markers, whether a clinician discussion is included, and any care or repeat testing outside the purchased test. Ask the provider about insurance billing and HSA/FSA use for your order; do not assume reimbursement.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
The published refund policy requires orders to be generated and completed within six months. Expired orders may be removed from active processing. Reactivation is not guaranteed and can involve new fees, pricing or substitute options. The policy says no refund, credit, renewal or reactivation after one year unless Personalabs makes an exception. We did not establish a universal pre-testing cancellation refund from that notice; request the applicable terms for your specific order before paying.

Check these points before choosing
- Find a collection location that accepts the exact order before you buy, and confirm state eligibility and any appointment or preparation requirements.
- Keep the order date and expiry deadline. A six-month validity period is not an assurance of a refund for an unused test.
- Discuss test selection and interpretation with an appropriate clinician. We have not verified individual licenses, audited lab operations or reviewed diagnostic accuracy.
