Brightside: services, costs & plan terms

Provider profile · Fit ’n’ Healthy editorial research · Checked November 2, 2026

A practical overview of Brightside’s US therapy and psychiatry plans, public self-pay prices and cancellation rules. This profile focuses on adult purchasing decisions.

Know the commitment: Separate the service subscription from medication and insurance costs. The published $95 psychiatry fee is a monthly care-plan charge; pharmacy charges or copays are additional. Insurance estimates depend on your actual coverage.

What Brightside offers

Brightside describes online therapy, psychiatry and combined care with licensed providers. Therapy includes video sessions and messaging. A clinical assessment determines appropriate care; a comparison page cannot establish clinical suitability or promise access, a prescription or improvement. Official service information

What is included—and what may cost extra?

The cost FAQ describes four therapy video sessions per month and messaging; additional 55-minute therapy sessions are listed at $59. Psychiatry includes assessment and ongoing provider support, while medicine is separate. Confirm the appointment allowance and any insurance deductible, copay or coinsurance in your own plan.

Billing, cancellation and refunds

The FAQ describes monthly therapy billing on the same day each month and non-refundable therapy subscription payments. Cancellation is through Settings → Manage Plan in the member account, selecting the relevant care plan. Psychiatry refund requests are not accepted after the initial scheduled consultation time has passed. The FAQ asks users to reschedule more than 24 hours in advance and warns of missed-appointment fees up to $200. Ask which appointment and billing rules apply to your selected plan.

Check these points before choosing

  1. Confirm the exact clinician/service availability for your state and whether Brightside accepts your particular insurance product. A network logo alone does not establish coverage.
  2. Save the total monthly cost, medication estimate, appointment allowance, no-show policy and cancellation confirmation. Administrative cancellation and ending clinical treatment should be discussed separately with the provider.
  3. Routine messaging and appointment scheduling are not a substitute for emergency care. This profile does not assess your treatment needs or recommend a psychiatric medication.
